PyMood BLAST Launcher Setup FASTA Format

The query and target database files must be in the FASTA format. Every FASTA header should have a unique identifier that immediately follows the > sign, before any spaces occur.
A unique identifier (here in the red font) could be composed from any combination of numbers or letters. These are correct examples of FASTA headers with unique identifiers:

>gi|15638997|ref|NP_218443.1| DNA polymerase III, subunit beta (dnaN) [Treponema pallidum]
or
>AF338425.1 AAM02907.1
or
>12C3 cDNA library from 8_4_02

Please note that when using GenBank FASTA headers, as in this example:

>gi|15638997|ref|NP_218443.1|

the PyMood pipeline will use 15638997 as the unique identifier. The second part of this FASTA header |ref|NP_218443.1| will be saved in the annotation file.
